A Name to Match Our Mission

PioneerLegal has adopted a new name and logo and is now known as the Pioneer Public Interest Law Center (PPILC). Why the change? Experience during the first several months of operation suggested that the original name, PioneerLegal, was sometimes confusing to the public and, more importantly, the courts. Some thought that PioneerLegal was a for-profit law firm. We are a public interest farm firm and we do not accept legal fees form our clients. We initiate and support litigration with the intent to influence public policy. Our new name clearly communicates to courts and the public what we are and what we do.
