Pioneer Public Interest Law Center, a nonprofit legal entity promoting educational options, accountable government, and economic opportunity, is pleased to announce the inaugural Brackett B. Denniston, III Rule of Law Lecture on October 17. This annual program is dedicated to the critical issues challenging the rule of law in America, and is named to honor our inaugural Board Chair.
Paul D. Clement, 43rd U.S. Solicitor General, will be our keynote speaker. Mr. Clement, who has argued over 100 Supreme Court cases, will address First Amendment implications for free speech on college campuses.
The Lovett C. Peters Lecture was named in honor of the Institute’s founding Chairman, Lovett C. “Pete” Peters — a successful business executive, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and lifelong proponent of high-quality educational opportunity for all children. The event assembles Pioneer’s closest supporters to encourage and honor individuals whose vision, thought leadership, and accomplishments have left a mark on the world.
The Institute is pleased to welcome Roland G. Fryer, Jr., Professor of Economics at Harvard University, as the 2024 Peters Lecturer.
Roland embodies the spirit of the Peters Lecture, which was established to celebrate and honor visionaries whose ideals and accomplishments leave an indelible mark on our world. His lecture promises to challenge conventional wisdom, offering a data-driven perspective on how free market principles can be harnessed to create innovative solutions for economic mobility.
The Hewitt Healthcare Lecture celebrates the commitment of Pioneer Institute’s former Chairman, Charles “Colby” Hewitt, Jr. Colby previously served as Board Chairman of New England Deaconess Hospital and Trustee for Life of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
