As national debates rage about how to teach history in schools, Pioneer Institute invites you to join us for a balanced discussion on how history and civics can best be taught to provide American schoolchildren the basic civic background knowledge for informed citizenship.
Pioneer Institute’s Jamie Gass and Jim Stergios will engage nationally-recognized speakers Dr. E.D. Hirsch, Jr., Founder of the Core Knowledge Foundation, and Dr. David Randall of the National Association of Scholars, who will offer differing points of view on this topic. Our two newest speakers are Kelley Brown, former MA History Teacher of the Year and “We the People” national civics champion, and Ian Rowe, Senior Fellow at American Enterprise Institute (AEI).
