Pioneer Public Interest Law Center, a nonprofit legal entity promoting educational options, accountable government, and economic opportunity, is pleased to announce the inaugural Brackett B. Denniston, III Rule of Law Lecture on October 17. This annual program is dedicated to the critical issues challenging the rule of law in America, and is named to honor our inaugural Board Chair.

The Law Center is pleased to welcome Paul D. Clement, 43rd Solicitor General of the United States and Partner at Clement & Murphy PLLC, as our inaugural lecturer. In the inaugural Denniston Lecture, Mr. Clement, who has argued over 100 Supreme Court cases, will explore the evolving jurisprudence that balances access to campus facilities while preserving students’ right to peaceful protest. He will examine the boundaries between protected speech and unprotected conduct in the university context, addressing the tension between educational missions and First Amendment obligations and offering insights into how universities can foster an environment where divergent viewpoints can coexist without descending into chaos or silencing dissent.

For questions about reserving a seat or sponsoring the Denniston Lecture, please contact Caitlin Marple at cmarple@pioneerinstitute.org.
