Avonlea Cummings serves as Communications and Media Associate at Pioneer Institute, where she manages outreach, media relations, and digital content creation. With experience writing for local outlets like the Hometown Weekly, and The Salem News, she brings expertise in communications and a keen understanding of policy issues to her role.  Avonlea serves as a co-producer on Pioneer’s podcasts, shaping engaging discussions on key initiatives, and oversees the Institute’s social media strategy, ensuring a dynamic and impactful online presence.  Through her work, she helps amplify the Institute’s efforts to promote meaningful policy reform across Massachusetts, ensuring its voice reaches key stakeholders and the broader public. Avonlea holds a BA from Gordon College.
