Pioneer Institute seeks a research assistant to join its healthcare policy program to work with senior healthcare policy fellows on a variety of projects.
Current Pioneer projects include healthcare price transparency, scope of practice laws, reforms in the small group market, data analysis utilizing pricing data from the Center for Health Information and Analysis, and reforms in the MassHealth market.
Pioneer also prepares editorials and blogs regarding a wide range of healthcare policy proposals.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, a demonstrated interest in healthcare policy, a background in macro and micro economics, knowledge of statistics, excellent expository writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, online research, data gathering techniques and data analysis.
Candidates should have a strong professional work ethic. Position offers opportunity to work with experienced public policy makers on challenging data-driven, healthcare policy projects. Compensation and hours open to negotiation.
